The Rev. Dr. E. Carrington Heath
The Rev. Dr. Emily Carrington Heath is a United Church of Christ minister currently serving as Pastor of the Congregational Church in Exeter, New Hampshire, and an author of three books.
Heath’s first book, Glorify: Reclaiming the Heart of Progressive Christianity, was published by Pilgrim Press in the spring of 2016. Later Courageous Faith: How to Rise and Resist in a Time of Fear was published in 2018. A third book, Called Out: 100 Devotions for LGBTQ Christians, was published in September 2022 by Westminster/John Knox Press.
Heath’s work has also been heavily featured in Christian Century, the Huffington Post’s religion section, the Still Speaking Writers’ Group’s Daily Devotions, and more. In addition, Heath has been a frequent speaker to both religious and secular audiences on the topics of church leadership, faith, gender identity, LGBTQ+ rights, and public policy.
Heath is married to the Rev. Heidi Carrington Heath, and resides in Exeter.
